Ein unbehandelter toter Zahn kann mit dumpfen oder starken Schmerzen, Schwellungen und Empfindlichkeit des Zahnfleisches, eitrige Taschen mit Mundgeruch, Ausbreitung der Infektion auf das umliegende Gewebe und in den Blutkreislauf und nicht zuletzt eine allm\u00e4hliche Schw\u00e4chung des Zahns, wodurch die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Bruchs steigt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dank der Endodontie (Wurzelkanalbehandlung) bedeutet ein toter Zahn jedoch nicht automatisch, dass er gezogen werden muss.
